yeah i am. my midwife scared the pants of me by saying its hard 2 explain but this baby is fine but u will properly miscarry in the future!! i was heart broken and was SOBBING!!

UNTIL I GOT MORE ADVICE

i went to a midwife that actually went to uni!! and she explained it really well. so hope you understand my message.....

years and years ago, mothers were having babies and they were dying at a very early age, hence those grave stones that have a massive list of names on well the reason 4 that was the mother had - blood and the children had + blood.
when u have ur baby blood from the baby might, well prop will go into your blood, when ur giving birth. this isnt a problem if your just having 1 baby, but if your having more, the + blood that has been passed into your body by your 1st baby acts foreign and might reject the baby and cause it to die. SO that is why they had made up anti-d injections 2 stop your body rejecting any future baby.

i hope this dosent scare you and i have explained in the right way!! i am on my 2nd baby and doing really well and my friend who is also - blood has just had her 2nd and is perfectly fine, its really more common than you think, please dont worry, the anti-d injections solve all the problems WOOHOO!!! the injection isnt the nicest of injections i must admit but for all us - blooders its amazing!!

take care let me know how ur jab goes xxxxxxxxx

I'm Rh Negative as well. It really is nothing to worry about and won't affect this pregnancy at all. Like has been said it does affect future pregnancies, hence the injections. As long as you get these done though there really is nothing to be concerned over.

I doubt it, because it takes your body a while to build up the antibodies, but I would ask your MW just to be certain

hun u will get the injection between 25 and 30 something weeks, one big lot it used to be two injections one at 25 weeks then another one around 30 weeks but they have changed it to double the dose. THen after the baby is born they will take blood from u and bubs and if the baby is - blood they will not give u the injection if the baby is a different blood group to u they will give u the injection again, the baby will be fine after it has been born cos of the injection u had when u were pregnant. They've only just changed the injections from two to one during pregnancy then depending on bubs blood group depends if u have it. Hope that makes sense for you hun. it is nothing to worrie about hun nothing at all.

Try not to worry. I'm Rh neg as well and have just booked my first injections for 2 weeks. It't no big deal - not sure why you didn't get them last time - did they know you were rh neg then? It's nothing to panic about and as for the 1st midwife you should have drop kicked her! Muppet xx xx
