According to my midwife, in pregnancy terms, I was 9months pregnant on Sunday..

The other way to think about it is that people always say you are pregnant for 9 months. It is true that you know you are pregnant for 9 months- that 10th month is the very first one where you are actually ovulating and conceiving- which some do not count as being pregnant. Since they start counting as of the date of your last cycle, those first few weeks where you are not actually pregnant are counted in your weeks of pregnancy. Hope that makes sense.

4 weeks = 1
8 weeks = 2
12 weeks = 3
16 weeks = 4
20 weeks = 5
24 weeks = 6
28 weeks = 7
32 weeks = 8
36 weeks = 9
40 weeks = 10


That's how my midwife does it.

This is my method of calculating. 25 weeks multiplied by 7 days (days in a week) divided by 30 (days in a month) = 6.06 months pregnant.
