Bump has changed!!!! Also got stabbing pain

Well it's been Easter here in Bulgaria this weekend so not been able to get on the forum at all!! .

Anyway, I've noticed a change in bump!! Before it seemed quite low, below the belly button and rounded off just above the B Button. NOW, it seems quite flat below the belly B and above bikini line and much higher. Has anyone else seen their bump 'move' position?? Today it seems a little lower again, although I did have my jog pants on most of the weekend and they do tend to sit, not too tight, below the belly B, so could it have got uncomfy for babs and he/she decided to move for a while????

I have felt more movement which gives me the best buzz. I woke for my usual 3.30am toilet dash this morning and couldn't get back to sleep ..... again as usual, and I had a stabbing pain. It was (and still is a bit) on the left side, lowish and is like a sharp pain for a second then gradually fades over about 4 seconds. Sometimes it comes in 2's or 3's and then there may be break for a minute then I get one. No pattern, just a little uncomfortable. Anyone else had these stabbing pains?? Oooooooh, babs just moved again. Loving it. I felt, up until not long ago, that I wasn't bonding with babs. It was worrying me, stupid questions like when he/she arrives, what if I don't feel anything???? (yet the feelings I had for my nieces, surely they would be bigger feelings for my own!!). THEN, I felt her/him moving, kicking, punching, whatever, I don't care, it felt great. I had only felt a few "popping" movements before, but now I can put my hand on my belly (only at certain times in the day) and feel the punch/kick!!!!! I can't see it yet but oh I can feel. The bond is there

Congrats on feeling bubs move, it's amazing isn't it?!

As for the pains, baby will be having a growth spurt round about now, and it's probably the stretching that you can feel. Round ligament pain can be felt either side of your tummy low down, as a really sharp tearing pain, which quickly subsides. It just mean that your baby is growing well.

Of course, if the pain doesn't go away when you rest, or if you experience bleeding, then you must speak to a mw. But sounds fairly normal to me.

I bet you are really excited that you can feel proper movements now! I am 18 weeks along and I only feel an occasional popping feeling on my left side (that is where my baby's little feet are). I can't wait until I feel something properly - it will probably alleviate my worries too. I have an anterior placenta, so the sonographer said that I probably won't feel baby move so early.

I know what you mean about bump moving up. I have hardly any bump at the moment, but I feel that it has gotten higher over the last week. I think baby does move up into the second trimester and that is why your bladder gets a bit of a break before the third trimester.

Great start to the day!!!!

It does quickly go away the pain, it was just a getting a little irritating when all I wanted to do was sleep!!!! Not too bad now, thank goodness, we'll see what happens later.

Yeh, weird how the bump had gone really high, no where near as low as it has been. I noticed yesterday evening that it had moved.

Totally off subject, but as it was Easter this weekend gone, I was telling OH about Hot Cross Buns. Problem was I hadn't see any raisins anywhere! Well low and behold, I saw some on Friday in the shop near our office, got so excited and have been in baking mode all weekend!!!! So made my first ever hot cross buns (trouble was they didn't rise quite as well as they should then realised that our cooker is hotter than it should be so outside got cooked quicker!!!!!) Anyway, my M in L liked them and OH couldn't get enough!!! THEN, for Easter Sunday I made a chocolate Victoria sponge cake, lovely lovely lovely and again OH ate most of it and then I made some buns yesterday. Tasted gorgeous but for some reason the sponge stuck to the bun case so we were looking like gannets, eating the top then eating the bun cases clean, crumbs all over our faces!! Oh I'm hungry!!!

Oh just a quickie, got a new craving but haven't been able to sort it out yet. Ice Cream, but not juts any, saw an advert for Carte Dore, got to find some in town somewhere but after telling OH about Ben and J's ...... got no chance, not heard of here in BG!!!! Ah well, I can't have it all!

It's a cool feeling and funny at the same time. It's like your muscles when they spasm after doing exercise, which always made me laugh anyway, but waaaay cooler! I was worried I wasn't binding but I can tell you that I can't wait for little un to get here! Even OH is smiling more even when he is stressed which bis a very good thing and maybe why I feel much better about the whole pregnancy. We are finally starting our wall border in our garden where we are building our new house (sounds great but material prices have risen soooooo much that we will not be able to finish it!!! I want it done now!), so OH has been out ordering materials all day so by the end of the working day tomorrow we should have a base!!!! It won't even resemble a wall but a base is something to get very excited about!! Just need to sell our land now so we can then finish our house!

I've gotten those pains a couple of times, I think they're just a normal part of this bit of the pregnancy. As long as they subside relatively quickly, should be nothing to worry about.

It's really funny to suddenly feel someone kicking up a storm inside you

Good luck with the house project, how exciting!
