Dark wee

Hi Ladies,

I've got what is probably a TMI question. I usually try and keep a pint of water next to the bed and drink it throughout the night to stay well hydrated but last night I just slept right through. When i woke up this morning and went to the loo my wee was a pretty dark colour. A very, very dark yellow almost verging on brown! This has happened before and I just had a few glasses of water and a few hours later, it was fine. Is this anything to worry about? I never drank water throughout the night when i was not pregnant and my wee never went THAT dark.

Peanut is fine as well this morning, ive already felt him jumping about in there, so no concerns there, just wanted to get your thoughts.

Nothing to worry about atall hun its just because u have held it in longer my morning per is always darker and when testing with mw is always fine hope this helps x x

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't worry... FMU usually are more concentrated.

As long as you drink plenty of water throughout the day, you are fine. You could bring it up at your next appointment for reassurance.

Thanks ladies. I knew FMU was darker usually... I guess I was just surprised at how dark it actually was this morning! Almost brown, which scared me a bit. Do you think your wee gets darker during pregnancy?

When the midwife tests my wee it always comes back fine as well, but I make sure to give her a sample after I've had a bit of water. My next midwife appt is friday so I may just bring it up then.

ah...I have to admit I don't take much notice of my wee, too busy checking my knickers and toilet tissues, lol!

alotof peoples wee are diff colours, mine looks just like water but i drink about 4 litres of water a day so mine is really diluted. If it got lighter after drinking water i dont think there is a prob, maybe just morning wee lol i dunno
