Bad pains - are these normal?

Well last night I was sleeping.. and I was woken up by the most painful ache in my back. It was my lower back and on one side. I dunno if anyone's ever experienced this but it's like when your calf muscle hardens up and you experience the most agonising pain.. if anyone knows what i'm talking about?
well it lasted about 10 minutes in my back.. and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
Also today.. I've been having sharp, stabbing type pains around where my bellybutton is and going downwards. They were quite bad and took my breath away! Could this be ligament pain? It was mostly when I stood up and they hurttt.
Anyway should I be concerned or are these pains normal?

When you woke were you on your side or back? . I have ligament pain all the time since becoming pregnant and it is a horrendous pain that forces you to move incredibly slowly just to change position!. I was also woke up by some shooting pain in my belly last night and made me feel quite ill. I feel fine now though

Very common, I would advise you to get in a warm bath and try soothe those muscles!. That is unfortunately the only relief that works for me.

I had something like that back when I was less than 20 weeks and I told my doctor about it, she said it was probably ligament pains. If you're worried that something may be wrong, see your doctor or mw.

I've had that on my back. I slept on a different mattress for a few days and then went back to my normal bed and it fixed it for me?

I find lying on my back in bed, even just for 2 minutes makes it painful when I try to turn over. My doctor said alot of it has to do with posture. I am not looking forward to the 30+ weeks! I may need to use the German shepherd to pull me out of bed !
