No bikinis for me this summer! :(

My Victoria's Secret catalog came. This is the time of year I usually buy my swimsuits because they have such awesome sales! Not this year!! I'm not really sad, my baby's totally worth it! They did have a cute cover up thing I might buy if I can figure out the size I need.

(Pointless thread, I know!)

It doesn't get hot enough here anyway :P But if you want to wear a bikini, I say go for it, pregnant or no!

Oh, I know I CAN wear a bikini, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with mu big ole belly hanging out. I'll probably buy a one piece somewhere. EEK! I haven't worn a one piece since I was twelve.

I guess you're in the US so not sure if you have heard of a big chain of stores in the UK called Marks and Spencer. Anyway they have a TV presenter called Myleene Klass who models for them in ad campaigns and part way through her contract she got pregnant. They had already booked a swimwear modelling shoot for her somewhere exotic (might have been Maldives, can't remember). They decided to use her anyway and had a fab poster of her in a white bikini, can't find the original as it's a couple of years ago but:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...mp-demand.html

when they released it a spokesperson for M and S said something like (and I love this) "Marks and Spencer's bikinis look great on both women who are pregnant...and women who are not pregnant"

if I was going away (I'm saving my vacation to tack onto the end of maternity leave so no hols coming up) I would wear a bikini and let my bump hang out! But you have to wear what you're comfy in. Enjoy your swimming!

I think (probably controversially) that I'd feel more comfy in a bikini being pregnant than I have done previously or will do after giving birth! I love my bump, to me my tummy looks absolutely perfect for the first time ever :-)

I've never been able to fit a bikini! Lol! They just don't look right on my top half.
But I will need to be buying me a swimsuit as once the weather gets warmer the little pool up at the caravan site will be open (and free!) so I will be able to cool off
