reduced movement at 25 weeks....growth spurt??

HI girlies thank god the computer is fixed coz ive been desparate to annoy you all! Basically I have a very very active little Bubs growing but since i turned 25 weeks the movement has been very very reduced. I was at the MW yesterday and she listened to HB so obv wasnt worried....she said when i dont feel anything i should turn the tv, radio everything off and sit or lay on the bed drinking ice cold water and should feel the baby move. SO im not too worried coz i heard the beautiful HB, but this has now gone on for 5 days, normally i go to sleep with major amounts of movement and my belly jumping and noramlly i wake up with movements but for the past 5 days ive only felt little movements throughout the day, nowhere near as much or as strong as normal....just wondering if anyone else experienced this at around week 25 and its maybe a growth spurt????

thanks in advance girlies...missed you all loads! x

I'm thinkin growth spurt as my baby has gone quiet for the last couple of weeks. I guess I should be happy that my ribs are spared for now lol

Im exactly the same. Im 25.1 and the past couple of days have had less movement than usual. Still feel her kicking and moving just not as much. On Wednesday night I went to bed and had really bad stomach pains and then woke up yesterday and looked at my bump to see that it had really grown again over night and was hard. Lots of friends tell me she has moved position and thats why I dont feel her as much. Ive got an anterior placenta too which is also a factor. It is hard not to worry though!!

I noticed this during last week but i was sick with a cold and thought it may have been that causing the reduced movements but maybe not

My LO went quite at around that time and didn't pick up intill about 27 weeks and since then she's none stop .. She's been really quite today but I think that might be the Piriton I'm on that's made her drowsy lol.. Aslong as you're feeling you're 10 a day then they say that's fine.. Also I'm not sure what kind of placenta you have (mine's anterior).. I sometimes SEE movement but don't feel it.. It's really odd. So sometimes it might just be worth you looking at you're belly too see if you can see anything.. Also at the stage I am now it's easier not to worry because I can feel limbs.. I like to poke them lol.. That normally provokes a reaction

Hiya,

I'm at exactly the same stage as you and have exactly the same issue. I had my 24 week midwife appointment last week as all was fine, like you i heard the heartbeat and mw said she was growing perfectly so i'm not worried but like you i was getting lots of big belly moving kicks when i went to bed and she'd wake me every morning with massive kicks too, but for the last 2 days i've hardly felt her and have to be sitting really quietly to feel even small amounts of movement. At my appointment last week though i did ask her when i should start monitoring movements and she said from now on really but did stress that if baby goes quiet then not to worry and stress and its more than likely just a growth spurt so thats what i'm thinking.

But i'm glad i'm not the only one. I too have an anterior placenta but up till now that doesnt seem to have affected me feeling any movements as i started feeling quite strong movements from 18 weeks and its only in the last couple of days things have gone quieter.

I don't mind though, i think its kinda nice that she's doing some more growing, so as long as she carries on giving me the odd kick every now and again then i'm happy!!

xxx

Mine was really lazy for about a week at 24-25 weeks. I was on vacation at the time so I chalked it up to that, but it could have been a growth spurt. Usually I can tell though as I get super hungry, sleepy and short of breath.
She's back to having a baby disco in there now though
