why do you think it's too early?
well it is... i mean i wouldnt like to jinx things... thats just my way of thinking tho. not to be negative but anything could happen. i got nothing for my son until i was 35 weeks and i had the exact same thinking then too. that just me tho.
To me thats personally way too late, I dont want to be massive and stressing out about not having things done and sorted when I should be enjoying the last few weeks. Il be finishing the room by 25 weeks and then will start sorting out clothes etc.

Our spare room was in desperate need of a make over...but tbh, I am an ultra organised person, and have a lot to pay out for in June/July and August, so have pre-emptied what I need to do, way in advance.

All the furniture was my daughters and is being re-used...so as for jinxing, it was all allready in the house anyway...and the room's layout is in need of a space saving wardrobe anyways.

I was as "anal" (if not more) when I was expecting my DD, 5 years ago, which made me relax more nearer to my due date, as I knew everything was just so!!!

And above and beyond all that, I am just ubber excited about EVERYTHING, and can't contain it!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Hehe....
Each to their own I suppose!?

I'm the same hun! Soooo excited! Been researching prams and furniture for past few weeks and felt so good ordering furniture today! Can't wait for it to arrive!!
It def is personal opinion, and most people I know are happy to start organising, picking and sorting after 20 week scan! I just can't wait to put the few little bits of clothes we have in the little wardrobe!! They are in mine at the mo and I swoon over them every morning when I get dressed!!

Pregnancy is full of worries - you have to start enjoying it at some point and for me, 35 weeks is far too late! My partner and I have had so much fun organising our nursery. We've painted, bought our furniture and now its all about the accessories. To ensure we're fully prepared, my OH has gone as far as to allocate "jobs" for every weekend until my maternity leave kicks in! I don't know about everyone else, but i'm loving pregnancy right now

I personally want to enjoy picking things and still have enough energy to help decorate etc. Don't want to wait til I am too big and uncomfortable to enjoy all the organising.
Same. I had a grim 4 months at the start due to very low blood pressure, so if my last trimester is anything the same, I'm counting on not having any energy! I don't think that 20 plus weeks is too early, 12 weeks perhaps, but not 2nd Tri!

We're moving house next week, so nursery will be the first thing we decorate, and furniture will be ordered after that. We're going for Zeddy and Parsnip (Mamas & Papas) and all the bits are packed away at the moment.

xx

I for one am not superstitious. We haven't started to set up the room yet, but have already got some of the furniture recently and have had clothes since before I was pregnant (my best friend gave me boxes of stuff she didn't need anymore as she was moving and needed to clear them out). If something should go wrong (I'm sure hoping it doesn't of course) I don't think having set up a nursery will be the cause. People are allowed to feel however they want, but suggesting that setting up the nursery early can jinx a pregnancy is just fear-mongering.

First time round, we had lots of stuff put away and stacked up, but had just painted the room and got the border up when I went into prem labour! Second time round I promised myself that ALL the basics would be in place and where I wanted them by 30 weeks at the latest, and I felt so much better doing it all and it being done.

This time, the room is done (not been changed lol) but the cot needs putting up and all the bouncers, car seats etc need bringing down from the loft. I will start doing all that stuff after my 20 week scan I think!

Love seeing all your room pics ladies! So exciting!
