We've painted 3 walls, and are gonna wallpaper the back wall on tuesday... then we get to put the furniture up! Its all ready and waiting (looks like a right tip!) but we figured we should leave it in boxes till the actual decorating's done. Im getting really impatient tho- wanna play with baby clothes!!

We have now ordered the accessories and bedding/curtains etc and still need to paint but here is ours so far.

I love your furniture set - where's it from?
Thanks...we are really pleased with it. It's from this website. They were a really good company to deal with.

DH has painted walls/ceiling allready, in these colours...

And I have just rcvd my vinyl hot pink butterflies that are going to be randomly put around the sugar pink walls...I am also going to get a big vinyl of the baby's name, which is being designed as we speak...which will go on the main wall somewhere.

This is the lampshade...

And all fixtures and fittings are chrome, and door and flooring is oak...

As the nursery is the smallest room in the house, we need to save on space, so this section....

...is going to be made into a wardrobe and shelving by a joiner, as a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a cot bed will not fit comfortably in this room as only diddy and that ramp thingy is a real pain in the ass space.

The cot bed and drawer unit is a Mamas & Papas range, that I haven't got a pic of as its discontinued, and haven't took a pic of ours as yet (it was DDs)...

Eeeee I do love all this organising hehe, when my nesting kicks in, I will be redundant haha!!!! Hope you likey it all!!!
xxx

well it is... i mean i wouldnt like to jinx things... thats just my way of thinking tho. not to be negative but anything could happen. i got nothing for my son until i was 35 weeks and i had the exact same thinking then too. that just me tho.

I personally want to enjoy picking things and still have enough energy to help decorate etc. Don't want to wait til I am too big and uncomfortable to enjoy all the organising. Plus, a lot of shops take 8 weeks to deliver furniture, hence why we ordered ours now. M&S said 6 weeks, meaning I will be 30 weeks, so plenty time to get room sorted. Also, there is a chance baby could come early. I have a friend who gave birth at 32 weeks and one at 36.
It is an exciting time, and as much as people don't want to 'jinx' things I think most people try to see things in a more positive light, especially after the 20 week scan point. That's just my personal opinion.
xxxxx
