During one of my early appt the HB was 195 bpm Dr was doing and u/s at that time and the baby was really active and now it's been around 159 the last couple times. He told me not worry it's normal 120-195 bpm.

It does sound high but like millwallrose4 said they would have told you if they were concerned. Baby might have been very active at that stage? I'm sure it's fine!

It seems quite high, and it seems that they should have kept monitoring it until it leveled off or went back to normal range. It is very abnormal to have a heart rate so high. My baby was extremely active and had a heart rate of 145. Not that my baby is the epitomy of normal, but the heart rate should level off in the 130-160 range, give or take a few BPM. After week ten (when HR peaks), it should drop to an average of 140 by week 15.

Needless to say, I would call your doctor/midwife. If you feel the baby moving, things should be fine. Was your own heart rate extremely elevated due to nerves or stress? If the baby felt you were in distress, maybe it's own heart rate reflected this?

They are doctors in the hospital, though, so I'm sure they used their judgement when they released you. However, you are still a patient, and you have a right to get your questions answered for peace of mind.

I don't know about that being too high, it's faster than my bean's hb has been but if the doctors didn't say anything than I wouldn't worry too much about it. Also, not feeling the baby at 18 weeks is normal. I'm almost 21 weeks and only have maybe the odd flicker that might be baby, but nothing I can for sure is baby. No kicks or anything.
