Do you think I should see a DR, or just wait it out?

My pointer finger on my left hand was hurting lots on the bottom side right under the first knuckle yesterday. It hurt all day and I kept looking at it, but didn't see anything there all day. Last night right before bed, there was a very tiny blister...pin size and a red ring around it. Today the blister has gone white, a teeny bit bigger, but more red. I am sure it is nothing, but do you think I should I get it checked? I am just paranoid about some strange infection. LOL! It's probably nothing, right???

My general thinking is that if something is worrying you enough for you to post on this board about whether you should see a doctor...then you should probably see a doctor!

I showed a friend of mine who is a nurse, and she thinks it's OK, but she said if it gets worse (like bigger) to see a DR. I actually think it is looking better than this morning already. I think the reason why I am so paranoid, is one time I had a staph infection in my finger on my other hand...long time ago. In a matter of hours, my fingers was twice its size and the whole finger had a blister on it. If I didn't have that when I was younger, I don't think I would think twice about this little thing, but I will keep an eye on it.

I agree that if it keeps bugging you then it wouldn't hurt to see a dr. I had a staph infection on my foot last year, it was awful. I thought I was going to loose my toes, who knew you could swell so much.

It sounds like nothing honestly, just a blister... I'd say dont worry unless it gets really bad. Put some neosporin on it (anti bacterial cream) I'd be paranoid too if I had had some crazy staph infection but this sounds nothing like that!
