Yeah she probably didnt want to give it to me to early as she probably gets people ringing her who are still in their early stages for pointless reasons.
She will probably give it to me closer to the time but will ask at next appointment
xx

The first midwife at my doctors sugery when I made my booking appointment couldn't wait to get me out of there.

The midwife I saw at the hospital was lovely but was just doing all the routine questions and stuff.

When I went at 16 weeks it was a different midwife again who was really nice, but she was covering for someone else. I asked for a mobile number because if anything happened I had no contact number for them and she was happy to give me it.

My sister on the other hand lives in the same area but different doctor, she has seen the same midwife every time and she is brilliant with her!!

I've only met my MW once and she seemed nice enough once she warmed to me. The only thing is - I cant understand her very well because of her accent!

I don't like mine very much, the first time I met her she had me in tears saying I wasnt eligible for NHS treatment because Id been out of the country for a couple months....I was like..so shall i have the baby on the street?? So yeah she's being nicer to me now but it really rubbed me up the wrong way, not a good start to something that's supposed to be positive

I can't believe your midwife said that to you!!
Also it's not true, there's an agreement with EU countries etc.. to get free treatment on nhs service or equivalent, as long as your resident in that country at the time! i was out of the country for 11 years and they never questioned my nhs treatment!
how mean of her to freak you out at such a vulnerable time!!
