They diffinitely check the face. They can even tell at this stage if they have a cleft pallette or not, so I'm sure if all was not normal, you would have been informed. Don't worry hun, the sonograher was just not a very good photographer!

Don't worry your baby looks fine and the sonographer got a really good pic of his spine! I was the same as you when I came out of my 20 week scan, I saw almost everything while she was doing it but when I was home looking at the pics I was thinking hmm looks like somethings missing, is that too big, is that too small lol. Don't let yourself get worried they would have called you in for another scan or got a consultant if they thought something looked wrong and they are really thorough x
