Full of a cold...

...help! I feel rubbish! Swollen face, snotty, coughing, wheezing... just UGH! You know it!

Is there anything much I can take? Or any natural helps you could recommend?

Also, is there anything about a cough/cold which could be dangerous to babes?

Thanks guys
-x-

Hi Drazic,

I had a cold a few weeks ago, I ended up phoning the NHS direct to see if I could take anything as I couldn't breath. I ended up being referred to the emergency out of hours doctor who told me I couldn't take anything for the coughing and I had to suffer it out unless my symptoms got worse. Or that I could try honey and lemon drinks (homemade) or try steaming myself to help move the catarrh and general snottiness.

However, after asking on here I found out that you can use Vicks Vapo rub which helped me loads and was able to sleep at night.

As far s I'm aware, there isn't any danger to your baby from having a cough or a cold. My lo didn't like it when I coughed and went quiet on me for a little while and then would kick with a vengeance.
