Are Johnson's baby products safe to use on newborns?

I have read so much hype on Johnson's baby products not being safe for newborns - does anyone know whether this is true? Is it better to use some organic baby products instead?

Thanks!

ive been informed as far as newborns go its best to use water and cotton wool when cleaning them as products may irritate their skin.

I was told to use soap when I had my son 2 1/2 yrs ago. The MW even put it in the water when I did his first bath. So much changes all the time.

When my eldest brother was born, my mum was told to lay him on his front.
When my second brother was born, my mum was told to lay him on his side.
When I was born, my mum was told to lay me on my back.

So much changes these days it gets so confusing.

Ive never heard any solid facts about johnsons being bad for babies. They have been the longest standing child company so I like to trust that what they make wont harm my baby...

But it is probably like anything, there are people in the world who are pro-organic (which is FINE) but like to make other things sound bad...

A tip to get poo off, use cream and warm water. It will come right off.

I honestly don't think it would harm them but the recommendation is that you use only water...
At least thats what I read...
