Old Wives Tales - boy or girl?

All of the old wives tales for gender predicting say im having a girl - the ring test, the chinese lunar calendar, the heartrate, the way im carrying & the father not putting on weight lol

Im sure im having a girl but everyone else seems convinced its a boy!
Bit of a pointless thread really but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts/experience in this or are they really just "old wives tales"?

Time will tell I suppose

If your 26 weeks shouldnt you know by now?
The only thing i have believed in is morning sickness. I never had any with my son. This pregnancy i was throwing up, up to 10 times a day from 6-16 weeks. So i knew i was having a girl.

Heart rate at the start went with a girl but form 20 weeks hers has been slower in the 140's like my sons was. Chinese calendar also said i was having a boy and i know im not.
Im gaining weight all round and my partner is gaining right with me..

You relly cant rely on any of those methods

Based on my mood and just overall difference from my last pregnancies and such I am thinking girl.

i carried like a boy, didnt have the morning sickness like you get with a girl, the chinease gender calender said it would be a boy, and i thought it was a boy! i also ganined weight like i was having a boy!

BUT

my babys heartbeat is high (so that bit was wrong)

Everything pointed at boy but two things... the placenta location theory: This is interesting..

and the veins in the eye theory: Has anyone heard of this and is it true for anyone?

Both have pretty high success rate.

If I went by old wives tales then my LO should be a boy.. But she's not

.. I've had no sickness whatsoever and nothing that is associated with having a girl has applied to me

The original poster is prob on team yellow which is why she doesnt know if tis boy or girl?

I had really bad morning sickness (was off work for two months, couldn't get out of bed!) and looked like death warmed up ... and I'm having a boy (very definitely). So the sickness thing was not true for me in the slightest!

i agree with nicholatmn, going by both those theories, im having a girl. I feel like im having a girl by gutt feeling, but i had no morning sickness!! I havent heard of this heart rate theory though?!
