Really need help with choosing a pram!

Hi everyone,

been researching prams for a month or so and I am finding it so hard to pick one!! Some are just ridiculous prices but I want a decent one.

Can anyone give me any tips or recommend a good pram?

Cath xx

Oooh...gotta ask Amy....do you/did you use the pram bit?? Does the pushcahir recline flat for use from first born??

Must admit love the look of it.

Saw it in a local shop tho and the pram bit looked tiny compared to the icandy peach??

We use the pram bit but never had the pram from newborn... will be buying the carrycot for it for my new baby. It does recline right back but i think it would dwarf a new baby and id much prefer the carry cot that goes on it, seat unit for when theyre bigger x

Hi there

I've been having the same problem, going round and round in circles and changing my mind. I thought I'd decided on the new Mamas & Papas Skate but when I went back to look at it, I was concerned that there was a lot of movement in the carrycot. I took DH with me yesterday to have a look (he doesn't care what they look like but focuses on "build quality" and other boy concerns) and he wrote a couple off because he thought they were a bit flimsy. I've got a real bee in my bonnet about carrycots that are too low or I would consider the Babystyle Oyster as it won the Which Best Buy. At the moment top of our list is an Icandy Apple with a red flavour pack. It's a little heavier than the Peach (which I think is nice but I don't like the colours) but it's got a nice big carrycot with a stability bar and feels really light to push. We've got a big car so I don't have to worry about that side of things. We are not finding out the sex of our baby so we have to go for something neutral which makes life a little more difficult. Another model I like, which isn't as popular here as it is in Europe is the Bebecar Ip Op so I'm going to take another look at that one next week.

Good luck x

We have just purchased the Graco Excursion + travel system from toys r us.

It was £149 and it came with pram (3 wheeler) carseat , foot muff and raincover.

Very light (only 9 kg) but at the same time very sturdy. Had a Graco pram for my first baby which we could have used again but it was quite heavy so opted for buying a new one instead and selling the other one.

Very happy with this purchase

Im also having the same trouble choosing. Im working my way through each brand to make it easier. I defo want a carry cot function for newborn as its a lot safer and secure in my opinion, but the ones I have seen look bulky as basically you just shove the carry cot on top of the pushchair. I want a travel system where each piece comes off entirely and is interchangeable. The Hauck range look good, theres one called the malibu which isnt out in the shops yet, but looks perfect for me. Its at good price if bought online, but Im a stickler for online ordering and prefer to go and try out for real before I buy something. I wouldnt get taken in by fancy brand names, colours, or the latest trend, just whats going to be comfortable for you and the baby.
