Oh insomnia sucks...I only get it rarely, thank goodness. I remember the days when I could sleep in until 10am or so...that was soooo long ago. I haven't had a good sleep like that since my first pregnancy in 2002. One day...lol

I had no idea you could leak amniotic fluid!!! I think I might need to contact my midwife. I sometimes feel it gush out or when I go to the loo my undies are wet - I have to change them if I forget to put on a panty liner. If I don't have a liner on I always have something in my undies. I have googled whether this is an infection but I'm not itchy or burning. mmmmm worried now.

I always thought I had really good pfm's, but more recently whenever I have urged or sneezed on the odd occasion I have let out a tiny bit of pee even though I havent needed a wee! Need to start doing some exercises I feel!! Blimey, am only 26 and this is my first!! Didnt think I would be getting these issues for while!

If its been happening for some time i doubt its your waters, especially if bubs is still moving around happily. I sometimes feel the gush and sometimes when i feel it nothing is there. Ive always got something coming out wether it be discharge or urine.
I had my urine tested 2 weeks ago and was clear.
Try not to worry but ask your midwife to give yourself a peice of mind.

I had great pelvic floor muscles even after my son. Its just the last few weeks they're not so good. I think from all the pressure of bubs being so low. When my cousin was pregnant with her 2nd she only had to laugh hard and she wet herself.

I feel the need to reply to these, in case anyone is reading and decides not to get checked out but maybe should. A wasted hospital visit is nothing compared to leaking/ruptured waters.

My waters broke at 14+5. I am now 17+4. They are still ruptured and leak intermitently, some days I don't notice it and just feel 'wet' and some days I notice small gushes. The same at night. Some nights I wake up and am leaking, other nights I don't appear to have leaked anything all night and nothing comes out when I get up in the morning.

If your waters break or are leaking, you may well leak constantly or almost constantly until you deliver, as you will still be producing amniotic fluid constantly unless there is a problem with your baby's kidneys.

Everyone is different, I have known of women who say they never noticed any fluid leaking out, yet they knew their waters were ruptured and they must still be producing fluid and therefore were leaking, due to their scans, and women who have said they couldn't go anywhere without a pad and theit trousers being soaked. I have also known women who only knew their waters had broken as they found out at a routine scan. Most women also still feel movement.

If your waters have broken, the sooner you get medical treatment, the better the outlook for your baby, so if anyone has any doubt whatsoever, it is important to get checked. Even if you just have a UTI, (one cause of leaking urine) that can be very serious in pregnancy and can actually cause the waters to break, so better safe than sorry, IMO.
