Pap Smear at 20+ Wks?

Hello ladies! I went for my 20 wk appointment (well, 22 wk), and they did a Pap. Which was okay, until I started bleeding during the pap, and then he put pressure on my cervix for like 5 or 10 minutes. It was still bleeding, so he capped it with silver nitrate.

Now, I passed a brown/black thing, and I'm pretty sure it's the silver nitrate. But, since that happened, I've been spotting red. I'm pretty sure it's from my cervix. Has anyone else had spotting after a pap? Esp. the next day? Baby is kicking away, but I'm still worried!

iam sure everything is fine,here in england we dont have paps as u call them when pregnant,if worried call ur care provider at any time,just to settle mind.

I didn't bleed after my pap but you may just have a sensitive cervix as they are already engorged with blood from pregnancy. I was told I may have some spotting after my pap but never did thank goodness. If it continues, I'd give them a call

Yes I had alot of spotting after my pap and I wont allow them to do another one.

i wouldnt have let them do one in the 1st place.. two much of a risk.. the only time ny doctor wil be allowed to put his hand up there is when im close to labour
