Slightly raised ALT levels

I've got to book an appointment to see my consultant after a second test came back with the same result. (ALT stands for alanine aminotransferase, which is a liver enzyme.)
Having not been able to get through to make an appointment before they closed today, and been worried silly by some of the information on the internet, I thought I would ask you kind people whether any of you have had any experience of this or might have any idea what's behind it?
Thanks so much.

Thanks Jasmak. Managed to get an appointment with the Obstetrician this morning. Got to go back for weekly tests to monitor the levels ... Seems she doesn't know what's behind it either! Fingers crossed it will sort itself out ... Thanks for your support. xx
