I feel your pain bout puppps

I have had the puppps from day one of my pregnancy and im only 16 weeks at the moment me and my husband kept trying to figure out what this insane itching i was having really was we made several doctors appointments and er trips all said it was an allergy then we thought it was scabbies but i was the only one that had it and i knew scabbies were highly contageous it wasnt until a few days ago at my ob-gyn that i learned i had the rare puppps which doesnt really occur til the 3rd trimester and 70% of women who do have it give birth to boys so its believed to be the male hormon irritating the mothers body but its not a proven fact i have tried so many different things and nothing seems to work including oatmeal baths lotions creams ect so what i have been doing to get some relief is i take an allergy pill everyday only take cold baths or showers and when its time for bed or i cant take anymore i take a benidryl to knock me out puppps is hell i cant stand it its driving me crazy and they say the only cure is to give birth but im so far from that im not due til feb of next year!!!

just an thought, i had this rash in my first pregnancy, it is absolutely horrible, i do sympathise with you, nothing would get rid of it (i mean i tried everything) the doctor just said it will go when you have the baby, meaning you will have to put up with it, oh no i dont think so....

so my mum got in touch with my cousin in london that practice aromatherapy and herbal remedies, she said to try a special bath soak thast is used on children for chicken pots that stop the irritant, after soaking in 2/3 bath a day by the second day my rash had cleared up...

even the consultant at hospital asked how/what i had used?

so here it is...... all natural oils..... nothing that can harm baby.....

5 ml of whole milk with 6 drops of german cammomile (it is a blue oil) and 5 drop of lavender.....

that is it, it is worth i try, good luck hun....

Oh i feel for you. I had a skin rash called pityriasis rosea from week 18. They think it was caused from an allergic reaction to antibiotic. My akin doesn't it h, but like you I had bumps all over my body. It hot bad when it spread to my face and arms because then I couldn't hide it. And it's so hard since I live in Texas were temps see typically over 90 degrees (Fahrenheit). It's starting to fade now, so I'm happy.

Ok the only thing that used to help me when I felt depressed about how I looked was to think "at least my baby is ok. Thank goodness this rash does not harm the baby". I realized that I would tAke looking like a leper if it meant my baby would be ok.

So although I don't have pupps I wanted to let you know that I empthasize with your pain. Stay strong.
