You must sit down and have rests hun or you will be ill...tell them you need regular rests even if its just for ten minutes...this is a must and they must comply with this....saying its too busy for a pregnant woman not to have rests is really really bad!!!! Makes me mad this xxx

I agree with telling them that you have to sit down & rest. Its really not good for you. I also thought employers had to give atleast 20 mins uninterupted rest in every 5 hour period. If you are going 7 hours without a rest they are breaking the law.

Dont ask them for a seat - have a seat. Your health and the health of your baby is far more important than work xxx

Yes, Torz is right there, I have read that the other day! Luckily, I work part-time at the moment. I used to work full time when I was preggo with my first child and no-one told me that I could have some rest at work every few hours. I was shattered by the time I got home!

You really need to sit down and rest with a cuppa every once a while. Going for 7 hours without a break just is not on!!!!!

Indeed!

Sometimes I feel like "oh, sod the job!" My maternity leave is months away but I am so looking forward to my Easter break with my DD.

I am sorry you guys are suffering!

I'm leaving asap! I think it's likely I'm going to be made redundant very soon, which is a good outcome for us ironically, but they have to give me 3 mths notice, and I know they will want me to stay on as long as possible. The reason being is I cover 4 other people's jobs, and 3 of them have already lined up job interviews (they will be made redundant too) and will be allowed to leave as and when they find employment during their notice period, but as I'm preggers and not going to be looking for a new job I get the feeling they will expect me to stay and cover the others jobs when they go. Well thats not going to happen, Im intending to be gone end of April at the latest! I also had to miss my parent craft class yesterday morning to come to work instead as the 2 other people in my dept had called in sick, so I had to miss my ante natal class that I am legally entitled to attend and come into work and cover, it's my own fault for coming in, but I'm made to feel so guilty for having any time off for appts. It's outrageous!
