What are you taking for heartburn?

GP's seem to prescribe Gaviscon, but it seems not everyone likes it (like me). So just wondered what everyone takes

Yeah, I've found that the Rennies Dual Action tabs are great - packet says to take two at a time, but I've so far found that ones enough (and I get HB so bad sometimes, it makes me cough!)

I'm taking ranitidine which is the generic version of zantac. No chewing chalky tablets or drinking horrible stuff, just swallow one tablet with water and it works for 12 hours. It says on the pack to ask ur gp before taking it if ur pregnant but he said its perfectly safe. Its not available on prescription but it's only about £1.50 for 12 from asda
