weird nipple activity TMI! :)

Ive just been in the bath and noticed that my nips looked sort of crusty...sorry that sounds bloody awful...

so I decided to give them a wash and see if it would come off. Which it did...then mister right boob started giving me stabbing pains...and now itchy...

now Ive not been preggo before... can anyone just confirm what this is? does it sound right? should I have crusty nips? Have I just washed away some part of my body? Is this some sort of pre milk stuff?

My husband is looking a mix of confused and amazed as I stood in my towel and said "my nips have gone weird!!!!they are crusty"

i think u can get some nipple cream to like moisterise them from mothercare maybe try that?x

I had that too - nothing to worry about. It was weird, if i scratched over a bit a lump came out, about the size of a sesame seed! I think it's just the beginnings of your milk ducts springing into action.

I have had sort of yelowish crusty stuff in tiny amounts on my nipples, I'm assuming it's sort of early leakage. The actual skin is fine though.

I used to get a yellow leakage when I was preg the 1st time!
if it dried it tended to go a little crusty!
if there is any soreness or redness etc then could possibly be a sign of infection but more than likely ur ealy milk production kickin in x

i have this...although not crusty, and nothing leaking, it just looks like small bit of dry skin ? It flakes off if i touch it, then its gone !

No other changes to report though...wondering when mine will spring into action!

Ive been getting the same thing since 16 weeks! I never had during my first pregnancy. Its just dried up colostrum. I get these little dried up bits. When i didnt know what they were i picked one bit off (yuk i know but i was worried) and i could see it was orange underneath so i knew it was just colostrum.

You can use lamosil cream but thats just for dry sore nipples, more like for breastfeeding. Just keep them really clean and in the shower/bath try rub it away
