Hiya.

Thanks everyone.

I went to the labour ward after finally speaking to someone. I have had cramps, and small leakages. They did an internal, and said that everything is closed, and that they could see alot of 'watery discharge', they've sent off a sample to determine whether it's amniotic fluid or not. I had a bath last night, and then went stright to bed, and I don't know if anyone else gets this, but I always get a little bit of trapped water come out after a bath. However, I was up early hours of this morning, as my kids wouldn't settle, so it would have come out already, not when I went back to bed.

They sent me home, and have said I have to keep an eye out for high temp, generally feeling unwell, as it could signal an infection. They were going to give me antibiotics there and then, but decided to wait for the results of the swab. I have to go back in on Monday to have a scan to check the amount of fluid around Mia, but I have been told that if it is my waters, it is far too early for them to do anything

I feel so helpless.

p.s. she wasn't moving all morning... but as soon as they put the doppler on my tummy, she gave an almighty wallop, and the doctor felt it !!
( I know thats good, but now I'm worrying that you can feel her more, because there's less water !!! ) Shoot me now !!!

I went through the same thing at the start of this week. My swab results came back clear. I was told i could have had a partial rupture but everything was still closed or it could be from baby on my bladder. I hadn't felt any movement from monday til wednesday so went to see midwife and as soon as she put doppler on he was kicking like mad. I hope this is something similar to what you are experiencing. I know how stressful this is. Will be keeping you in my thoughts and look forward to an update.

Thankyou
I just wish I was a bit further gone, so that they would try to do something to help, instead of basically tell me there's no hope if it is my waters.

It sounds so stressfull and I'm truly sorry you're going through this...
They shouldn't have told you that there's no hope if the water broke(which I hope with all my heart didn't),little Mia is a fighter and she is kicking, that's a good sign.

You two girls are in my thoughts!
