anyone having a water birth??

i recently decided, with some guidance from my mother that im having a natural water birth. not at home though. where i live we have a birth center with big nice rooms with a huge bed and jacuzzi. its lovely. i talked to the midwife and having the birth in the water makes labor much easier. helping with the pain. plus it lowers the risk of complications because the baby comes out much easier with out some much tearing... anyone else doing a natural birth or water birth. or am i alone and this crazy adventure.

I would like to try a water birth but not sure I will be allowed as I have health problems, I'm meeting my midwife for the first time next week so will find out my options then.

I am not ruling it out - I would definitely like to try and will start my labor in a tub with gas and air. At the point where I have to decide on an epidural or not, then I'll see.
This is my first so I really don't know what to expect!

Im not sure everyone has that option either due to lack of resources at the hospital or the individuals circumstances. I would like to go for this if Im allowed.

youre not alone with the natural birth option as im not havin gas a air or an epi... unfortunately due to my decline of blood tests i cant have the epidural and i really cant stomache gas and air... so its pretty much pain all the way for me

I'm going for a water birth. At my local hospital we are very lucky there are about 6 tubs and I intend to be using one of them! Although if I need to change tact then so be it. As this is my first child I have no idea what to expect and I will just go with the flow for the sake of the baby!!
