I'm losing weight ???

Well, it's very strange. I thought I was putting it on, and my scales at home must hve been broken, telling me that I weighed the same as at the beginning of the pregnancy.

However, I got weighed today at the docs, and I've actually lost !!! I'm a bit worried.

I was 88kgs when I was 8 weeks... and I was 86kgs at the docs today. And also (TMI, I'm sorry), when I got home, I finally went to the loo after being constipated for 5 days, and I must have lost rather alot then, ( if you know what I mean sorry ).

I'm not sure what that is in pounds. It's weird, coz I normally struggle to lose weight , and I can't understand how I could be losing now. I know I was really sick until about 14 weeks. But since then, I've eaten quite well....

Any ideas ???????

Hi

I'm like you I'm 25 weeks and had been losing weight. I to have eaten healthy but I wouldn't say I was eating for 2. In fact I think once I give birth I'll probably weigh less than pre pregnancy the way things are going. Not to worried as doc says baby is average size for week and will take all (s)he needs. I can only put it down to being slightly overweight pre pregnancy and now not as hungry and eating healthy during pregnancy.......If I'd have known this was the answer I'd have planned a LO ages ago....

Yeah, I was classed as 'obese' pre-pregnancy... at a size 14-16 !!!!!! I think I will end up weighing less too. I'm just hoping that Mis is getting what she needs from me?

I wouldn't worry too much, they have ways of getting what they want even pre birth lol. As long as your growth chart is on target I'm sure you will both be fine

4.4 Ibs isn't much.If your doc isn't worried, then I'm sure that everything is perfectly fine, your size on the avatar looks perfectly healthy to me(I have to say I think it's a disgrace they classed you as obese at size 14-16.Obese is a dangerous zone, there's nothing dangerous in your size)...

I'm sure Mia is more than happy in there and satisfied with the service at restaurant ''Mommy's''...

First of all, Ann-Marie, you look fab! As always!

I think your baby is dipping into your own reserves and, in addition, carrying a baby around will in fact up your metabolism, and that's probably what is occurring in your case.

It looks like your bump is growing nicely and I am sure that your baby is fine.

Another thing about weight gain during pregnancy is the amount of water you are now carrying. Could be that you were retaining a bit extra and it has now decreased.

I think you look FAAAAAAAAABULOUS!!!!!

I wouldnt worry about Mia - I think I read somewhere that even if you ate very little your baby would find the nutrients from you.
