How many weeks??

Hi

I need some help i don't know if i am just being stupid or not lol

What it is i had my midwife app yesterday and she asked how far along i was, i said 18 weeks and im due on August the 12. But the midwife checked her round thing and said 17 nearly 18 weeks im confused can anyone tell me when i turn 18 weeks ?

I didn't think to ask her as then she listened to hear babies heart beat and i forgot lol

I would say you were 18 weeks yest if your due date is 12th, i'm 18 weeks today and due on 13th! Could be bump buddies lol

I'd go with the scan date, they are more accurate than 'feeling' or whatever. Good luck xxx

im 17 weeks and 2 days and due august 18th so u shud have been 18 weeks yesterday..ur due 6 days before me and ino i turn 18 weeks on wednesday for defineate so u turn 18 weeks 6 days before me.. maybe she was confused

My midwife gave a date 1 day different to my calculated date and the scan date! I dont know how but I am going by mine! xx

Thanks guys. I don't know how she got her dates i was trying to work it out for ages and then just thought i will go with what the scan says lol. Good luck to all!!!

My midwife always seems off by one day too. She uses her little wheel thing every time.

My midwife was off by one day as well at my booking appointment from the dates calculated in books. The hospital had the same date as me, which got changed at the 12 week scan anyway! I wouldn't take too much notice of any date that the midwife gives from an abdominal examination, it's only ever going to be approximate. The scan will give you a far more accurate date.

when you have your 1st scan the dating scan if your within a week of the date youve been given they keep your due date and dont change it,so your due dates the 12th aug you might have concived between 4 to 6 days after the date theyve said xxx

as 12 Aug is a Thur, then you're weekly number will change on a thur, so I'd say you were right! but given that only 5% of babies turn up on 'due' date, I would try not to worry too much over the sake of a few days! I got really hung up on this the last time, and then DD was 2 weeks late!

My midwife was trying to tell me when i was 10 weeks, that itw as the date since conception. I knew she was wrong as ultrasounds date from your LMP. I got worried for a minute cos the way she was talking i was due 28th may but im really due 28th june!

Stick with your scan as its more accurate.
