I know it's no biggie but i'm really paranoid and suppose seeking reassurance. I have my scan next fri but im dreading it. I haven't felt much these last few days, my friend is convinced it's a boy and being lazy but im so worried. I also have (to make matters worse) an anterior placenta. I bought a summer HB monitor which is totally un-reassuring as it would appear they dont work til 21 weeks . and to be honest dont really even know what the noises are that i do hear, now and then i hear a loudish noise but no idea what it is. I'm at a loss really, I cant really afford to buy an other doppler right now but need to stop feeling like this. How long til i can feel some peace and just get the odd kick or something just to reassure me. It's my daughter's birthday today, she's 9 and i'm supposed to be telling her she's going to be a big sister soon but i'm even sure if i want to, I mean, what if i do and something is wrong? But at the same time im struggling to hide the bump! A small part of me does think all is ok but then another part thinks not but the negative emotion is stronger, am i normal? Sorry for the long post, just worrying ... xxx

Congrats on making 18 weeks! Big I know that right before your scan can be a bit of a scary time. Will keep fingers crossed that everything is good for you
