OMG woke up in middle of night screaming at pain in calf muscles!!!!!

This is the third time it's happened, have gone to sleep and woken up to the most horrible pain in my calf muscles! It feels like the muscle has gone all tight and is stretching so much it feels like it's ripping out of my leg!!!! OMG it hurts so much!!!
only thing that relieves it was vigourously eubbing he muscles but it's horrible!!
Just looked it up on the net and it says that cramp is common but this is way worse than cramp!!
Anyone else experiencedrhis horribleness?!!!
What's the best way to stop I happening? I'm on my feet all dag so have started raising my legs at night and stretching them as much as I can!!

try to flex your feet, not point them...I found that helps. Painful huh? Not looking forward to those.

Sounds like a Charlie Horse or Cramp in your leg. Lovely aren't they. Even once you message them out the pain still lingers. I don't miss that feeling. I fee your pain .

Yeah, sounds like cramp. I used to do alot of Judo and for some reason would sporadically get it while training! I don't like causing a scene but it could be so painful I would scream. I don't know what to suggest to stop it but it has happened a few times to be in the middle of the night (not while pregnant) and my DH now just massages the spasm area (hard) until it eases off. I don't know about you but I sometimes found it hurt to walk the next day it was so bad!

Sorry I can't offer any strategies but I can honestly say yes, cramp can be that bad!

Milk hasn't helped so far I have a glass every night to help with heartburn. But no luck helping with the cramps!

I've had these with all of my pregnancies!! They are SOOOOOO painful, I get close to crying and thats not like me at all! I really try and avoid stretching my legs out in bed because I usually get them when I stretch! I've only had it once so far, it leaves my muscles so sore for a while, im hoping I don't get them too much!!

Yup it hurt to walk about at work today and am on my feet all day. Really hurt to drive home too as my left leg is the worst and every time I had to push the clutch it killed!

Funny the things people don't tell u about that can happen in pregnancy!! Ouch!
