car seat advice. anyone drive a renault clio?

Me and my OH are trying to decide what car seat to buy we're thinking about getting a mxi-cosi as my friend has one for her little girl and she loves it. Her OH also drives a clio and the back is reasonably small and as my OH drives one and she will mostly be in his car more than mine i wondered if anyone had any advice on what car seat is most suitable. Also if anyone has any idea about a travel system that could fit into the boot of a Renault Clio i'm all ears

Sorry my advice isn't going to be that helpful or inexpensive. I loved my Renault Clio until my DD came. I couldn't stand all the squashing of pushchairs into the boot and leaning into the back seat, so I sold it and bought an Audi estate. Best thing I ever did! My friend also had a clio and she ended up selling and getting a Golf! Clios are unfortunately, not very practical for babies!

Are you talking bout the older shaped Renault Clio's or the newer shaped ones??

I have an older shaped one (just about to sell) and had a mamas and papas pliko pramette which did fit in the boot etc but it was a bit of an art form knowing how to get it in! But it did fit, you may not want anything much bigger than that though (that's a fairly compact pram) as I think you would struggle.
