thanks for everyones replys i think as ttcbambino#1 said my partner sees it as a special role really for him to do and feel that bit more involved really. it just feels a bit like its been taken away from him.

If it really bothers him he can up his game and get you a bunch of flowers sent from the bump!

To be honest hun, i'd be over the moon if i got two cards - just shows how much these people have for your little one! My fiance thinks it's such a silly idea so i envy you lovey! x

See I have it the other way round, my mum said I was stupid for wanting Oh to get me a card, she thinks that I am not a mum cos 'I have not gone though child birth'

I would love a card and some flowers off Rhys but dont think I am gonna be very lucky, think I will by myself some flowers to cheer myself up

I can see where your OH would feel put out, I would too if I was him. It's really nice that your mother wants to do these things too and some other partners/husbands think it's a silly idea so at least you'd get a card from someone then. Talk to your mother, I can totally understand you don't want to hurt her feelings so try to be gentle!

Ah im sur she didnt mean to push ur bf out i think she was jsut tryin to be nice...ive told my mum and sisters and any1 that'll listen i want a mothers day card...they all say im nto a mum yet

so think im ogna buy myself 1
