I find I am really thirsty all the time too, and espesially at night...I am completely parched! I will get up several times and get some water....which means that I will pee more.

I also am more parched at night I take bottles of water to bed with me causing my bladder to feel really uncomfortable and having to get out of bed!.

I barely ever drunk water before pregnancy but during it seems that is all I ever drink even ditching my caffeine free pepsi for it, is that a pregnancy symptom?!.

I drink loads of water during the week as its cold and filtered at work and as I don't drink tea or coffee I always have water at my desk. I am partial to the odd can of coke but I aim for only about 3 cans a week in total. I only 'need' it at that 3.30pm moment if work is boring!

As I don't drink tea or coffee and do like sweet things (even more so now I am pregnant) I now drink a fair bit of sparkling water and if I want it sweet I add cordial/squash which is the best of both worlds. It's harder to remember to drink at the weekend as adding ice etc is a bit of a faff so it works with a bottle of sparkling from the fridge.

I read somewhere that the amniotic fluid needs to replace itself every one to two hours- which would explain why we're all constantly soooo thirsty!! The same website said that its a good idea to drink about 4 litres of water a day while preg, but that that's just an average, n 2 find ur ideal amount, u should look at ur urine colour! The lighter the better! (apparantly a pale straw colour is ideal?!?!)

I take a 1 litre bottle to work with me, and aim to finish it before dinner. Then i fill it up again and have a second litre between dinner and hometime, then when at home i aim to have another 2 litres before bed. but i usually only get up to 3 and a half, n the other half is waiting for me overnight!

Before i read that i was worried that i might b getting gestational diabetes coz i was always soooo thirsty (which im not- ive been checked!!) but now i know its just that preggo ppl need crazy amounts of water!
