discharge (sorry if TMI)

HI Girls

Over the past few days you may have noticed I have posted a couple of threads on leaking and discharge – well I am still worrying.

On Monday I called the midwife as I have been for the past week having watery discharge so I called her at 9am and she told me to call back in half an hour as she was with a appointment. SO half an hour past and I called her again and it went back to voicemail so I left her a voicemail. 8 hours later I hadn’t hear back so I re-called her and she answered while she was at a home birth there was this lady in the back ground yelling away in pain and hshe told me it could be leaking amniotic fluid and started to tell me to do something to monitor it and then she had to hang up on me….. Needless to say I didn’t know what to do so being hormonal I just cried!!!

I got a doctors appointment for yesterday where I told him all about it and he did an internal and swabs in case it was an infection. He said it could be three things – urine (but I know it isn’t comeing from there!) infection but I have no signs of thrush or anything and when he did the internal he said there was no redness etc, amniotic fluid or it could be the way my normal discharge has become. So he said he cant rule out the fluid thing but he said he doesn’t think with the amount I am leaking that it is that.

SO I felt a little reassured when I left but when you leave and it is still happening the worry kicks in again. Its not what I would call a constant leak, trouble is my kickers always feel a little damps (I think I must be sweating more) and also the pad I am wearing is a little damp. I tried wearing dark knickers last night with no pad so I could see better. When I leaked I have a tiny splodge of white discharge and a ring of water discharge with drips around it too. When I have gone to the toilet today and wiped I have had a discharge on my tissue and when I look down the toilet in my wee there is like a milky discharge in my wee and dripped on the toilet inside.

Does anyone else have this or can you give me advise as I don’t seem to be getting any where with my midwife?x

Im in a similar position at the moment and it sounds like you may have a UTI - Its common in pregnancy and can sorted with anti-biotics, dont worry yourself silly about it, just get onto GP and have something prescribed to clear it up ASAP.

In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids and try and flush all the crap out that way too. Im drinkin loads, due to a UTI and me and the toilet at work have become best friends

You need to go and see your GP or request to speak to a different MW.
