I've had panic attacks and they are NOT fun... the symptoms feel very real. I sit and take deep breaths in my nose and out my mouth, close my eyes, and try to think of something happy. The more I focus on my symptoms, the funnier I feel. I hope you get to feeling better soon!!

I was going to suggest panic attacks, I have these alot and they can range from full blown cant breathe total panics to feeling a little woozy for a minute or two. Symptoms I have are :

feeling detached from the world
dizziness
breathlessness
feeling like I am going to faint
fast heartrate (have actually been kept in hospital as it was so high at one appointment when I started panicking! - it went down within half an hour lol).

as well as many many other wierd and wonderful symptoms!
and they do get worse during pregnancy

It could be this and if it is then i really sympathize it is truely awful but the thing to bear in mind is that is is harmless to both you and your baby!
I hope you get to the bottom of it soon.

Got my blood tests back today and turns out my iron levels are very low. Apparently this is the cause of my "funny moments" and breathlessness. I have been prescribed liquid iron (i can't swallow pills) so hopefully when i pick that up tomorrow i will start to feel better soon

aww that's great that you got answers hun, I was just going to offer support as I'm going through exactly the same thing, just had my bloods done today. I'm so exhausted and winded, I can't walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing. I only noticed something was really wrong yesterday as I was in physiology lab and I took my blood pressure, which was fine, but my resting heart rate was over 100 bpm. Went to GP where it was still 100 bpm. Had the full blood count done today along with a test for thyrotoxicosis. I hope I get some answers like you have today. Hope the meds have you feeling better xxx
