we got the quinny bzz3 but havent gone for the carry cot cos we decided it wasnt worth paying for it, as the bubs may only be in it for 3 months, plus we are having a summer baby, so its not too bad if its in the seat or the car seat. the seat for the quinny is suitable from birth, and the bubs can lie flat, but will have its legs raised slightly
we decided that it will possibly be unlikely that the baby will be in the carseat or the normal seat anyway for more than 2 hours, surely they always need feeding or changing or something!

I brought my pushchair the other day. I didn't want a travel system as they are all big and bulky and look really heavy. Also I wanted something that folds easily and small to fit into both of our small cars.
We ended up with a silvercross pop which is suitable from birth as it reclines fully.

Agree with claireybelly. It's best for LO to lie flat as much as poss. I had the option with my pram to get the clip on car seat and didn't, as I would always take the extra minute to pop LO in the pram. I think the strollers from birth are great money savers, but for me I need the pushchair to be parent facing initially, and I love how snuggly my LO can be in his pram. When the hood is up they're so high up and snuggled-very womb like. Unfortunately, most (or maybee all) parent facing prams require that you take the seat off to fold the chassis. I don't mind the extra minute doing this to get what I want though. It's not a problem when you have a car.

We have done the same with the Oyster Black Pearl. When I am out and about with my friends/sisters and their babies, no one has ever brought their carrycot, and baby is always out every couple of hours like you said for a feed or a nurse. Most babies seem to outgrow them by 12 weeks, and being squashed into a carrycot can't be any less harmful than lying in a pushchair that almost reclines back fully (my opinion anyway). But it is a mindfield out there! Shops will all give you such different advice too!

I know the mamas and papas skate turns from a carry cot into a seat, so if your not looking to spend money on buying everything seperate. You will need a car seat though chick. I've gone for the icandy peach, but it is expensive as you have to buy everything seperatly. xxx
