mamafy, do you have quite a severe divide or just a small indent on your uterus?

Also your 2 pre-term babies, were they still quite a good weight when born?

Sorry for all the questions..........

I'm Currently Feeling:

You're fine curlie I believe its a 'heart shaped' so not a complete divide but it must be pretty mangled in there as I had a septum (divide) in my cervix and vagina. (which was removed 17 years ago)

well my 1st son was 35 weeks and weighed 4lbs 11oz
my 1st daugher was 35 weeks and weighed 5lbs 8 oz
my 2nd daughter was 31 weeks and weighed 3lbs 15oz
my 2nd son was 28 weeks and weighed 2lbs 14oz
and my baby girl was 35 weeks and weighed 5lbs 10oz

if they think you're going to go preterm there are loads of things they can do I have known a woman who had a bi-coruate uterus and needed induced so it isnt all doom/gloom, but it does all depend on the severity and thats something you wont know until further into the pregnancy.

have you had any bleeding out of interest?

thanks for the info much appreciated x x

I too have had 2 previous m/c's a few years ago, they said at the time it was nothing to do with my uterus but you cant help but wonder now.

I did have one episode of bleeding at around 8/9 weeks, I was admitted to hospital and scanned. The sonographer thought it more likely to be some kind of implantation bleed and it was already resolving itself a day later and since then (touch wood) I've had nothing more.

When they did my scan at 9 weeks the sonographer did confirm that I did have a 'small dip' but that was it. I've luckily been referred to a consultant who wants to see me again at 26 weeks and then at 33 weeks but he too didnt seem overly concerned, but did mention the higher rate of breech births or pre-term labour.

Off for my 20 week scan on 13th May, so hoping they'll be able to tell me a bit more then.

Can I be cheeky and ask another quick question - always wondered but felt silly asking the consultant but do you have a wonky bump with the majority of the baby in one side??

x x

I'm so relieved you were wonky too!! Like you its only noticable when I'm lying down but my little one definitely favours the left hand side which would make sense as my dip is towards the right.

Cant tell you how much you have put my mind at rest. Thank you so much x x
