With my first I only had OH there as its a special time for u to share, this time round I have asked my sister if she will be my second birthing partner. Although if I end up having a home birth Id like my best friend here too lol...between the group they would all have their own ways of helping

I had my OH at each birth and I also had my 2 closest friends in there also. It was wonderful as Hubby was able to take pics and video stuff and I had my 2 girlfriends to support me and time contractions, it was so funny because as I was pushing I would look at my girlfriends and they were both pushing also and at the end I said to them "why the heck were you two pushing" and they were both like " oh we remember that part so well and just couldn't help it"

This time however I am having OH and I think I can only have one other person due the the fact I am having Twins, so it is a High Risk delivery. I am thinking of only having my Hubby this time around, but we will see. Hubby doesn't mind either way as long as I feel supported and comfortable, thats all that matters to him (bless him)

Ill be having OH with me, but like u ladies i think he may need a little help with the support thing (being nervous) so I am hoping to have someone else there too, but I dont know who to ask cause I know my sis really wants to be there and she would be so upset if she heard about the experience from someone else ie my best friend who also wants to be there............so im having a tough time deciding who to ask?!?!?
I think i would like my sis there as i know if i was being a total wimp she wouldnt judge me just comfort and support me, where as my best friend is a little ''Been there done that, not a problem, just get on with it'' type......and i dont want to feel uncomfotable when in labour as i will obviously be in pain anyway!!!!
sorry about my rant, just needed to get that out lol
xxxxxxxxx
But im pretty sure most birthing places let you have 2 birthing partners

xxxxxxx

I'm worried about that too. I'm scared that my OH will get scared and freeze up. For that reason I'm also having my mum there so she can take over if OH freaks out lol. Have you thought about having 2 birth companions?
