Need Advice

Maybe TMI...

I have been getting sick randomly, every other day or so. At the start I had really bad MS and basically didn't do anything. When I'm sick now it is so violent that I blow out all the blood vessels around my eyes (looks like I have been beaten up) I actually threw up some blood this morning.

I'm wondering how safe it is for LO that I am so sick so often...
Has anyone run into this before, any advice would be great

Yes it is. I rang a doctor so many times when I was being sick because I lost weight from it. She said there was nothing to worry about aslong as I was keeping some stuff down.

It soon settled down and the weight gain continued.

My, your morning sickness doesn't sound nice at all!

Have you tried using one of the wrist bands? I never have but others have said it works.

And, sometimes, doctors will prescribe something for morning sickness if it is bad.

Best wishes, hon!

..as Leeanne said... and don't be alarmed about the blood if it's after you've been violently sick a couple of times.. it will be form the lining of the throat, small vessels rupturing from the pressure... quite scary, but normal. The main thing is to keep hydrated.. and really try to eat little and often, just something plain, so that your stomach always has something to digest, and you don't bring up the acidy bile, which really damages your throat and teeth.. Hope you feel better soon

Oh,this doesn't sound nice...Do you still manage to keep stuff down?
Don't worry about the blood,as Ann-Marie and Lee-Anne said it could be just the strain from being violently sick...
But you could maybe mention it at your next appointment, maybe they can give you some tips how to alleviate this...
Hope you fee better

This has happened to me with this pregnancy too, I would throw up so hard that I burst blood vessels in my face and had a bunch of red spots around my eyes the doctor called it petechia eye, also I've thrown up blood before it's really not pleasant. I think it was blood from in my throat rather than my stomach, my throat was just so raw with all the puking (sorry if TMI, not trying to make anyone gag). Also when I throw up that hard my bladder also tends to leak, so look on the bright side I guess at least you're not pissing yourself too like I did. I was just as sick with #1 too, pretty much all the way through, I remember throwing up really hard in the delivery room even. It sucks big time! I totally understand, and sending a bunch of big hugs, but as long as you aren't becoming severely dehydrated or are losing a bunch of weight because of it, LO should be fine. Are you still taking your perscription? I'm taking diclectin 4 times a day. But it doesnt help alot if you can't keep it down. Hope you feel better

Thanks for all the advice and helping to alleviate my concerns. It was getting so much better, I can't believe that I"m back to square one again... The MS is so completely random now, very frustrating.

Shame. Hope it doesn't last too long.

Maybe if you can't handle it your doctor can prescribe something for you?
