I was in hospital overnight on Friday night with high blood pressure and a trace of protein in the urine sample and i had so many people tell me so many different things. The last consultant to see me told me that the baby was too low in my stomach for 26 weeks and then he did a very quick scan which showed that the baby was measuring 25 weeks and there was slightly less amniotic fluid than there should be.

This got me up the wall with worry, and then when I read my notes last night he had written that my uterus was measuring 20 weeks???!!! That feels like such a lot less than the stage I am at and I am now panicking like crazy. I have to wait 2 weeks till the growth scan and I am so scared in case they say the baby has not grown at all or there is something really wrong.

Several people over the last few days felt my stomach and nobody said there was anything wrong, they all said it was fine. A few midwives also measured the fundal height and all said it was fine so I wonder where the consultant got that my uterus was measuring 20 weeks. He didn't explain anything to me and I just feel realy really scared and edgy now and have got myself convinced I am going to lose the baby or there is going to be something majorly wrong I just can't stop stressing over it and thinking about it.

DH thinks we should nip over to the maternity unit here today (where i have my ante natal appts) and see if I can get a chat with a midwife about all my worries and just clear things up.

I agree, your OH is talking sense. Worrying about it won't do you or the baby any good and chances are you'll be reassured. I hope everythings fine.

As others have said I would go and get some answers you cant sit worrying for 2 weeks....

You're OH is right.. It could be that the consultant wasn't concentrating when he wrote down 20 and instead of writing 25 wrote 20?? It could just be general error but better to get checked so you can put you're mind at rest
