Would they actually tell you you're not allowed to have a C-Section?!

That seems to be unheard of these days. More and more hospitals and doctors try to convince you to have one..

My midwife was really against it, and I've been warned by a friend to go into my appointment with a definite decision, otherwise if I um&ah about it, they will automatically put me down for a natural birth. Plus, if you've had a previous natural birth, and there is no medical reason for the baby's sake, they don't like to do it

I hope you can get the c-section since that seems to be the best option for you

Know what you mean Ann-Marie! Congrats!

My ticker says 132 more days to go, but because of the C-section I will have it's truly only 118. LOL

I really hope they dont make you go through a natural birth. Everytime I read your posts about your pelvis it makes me cringe. So I'll hold thumbs for you!

Must just be here then..? I know someone who had a C-Section 3 weeks before her due date for the sole purpose of having her baby on her birthday.. no other reason whatsoever and the gynae did it with a smile on his/her face.
I also read an article about a woman here who, at her 32 week checkup, was told by her gynaes wife out of the blue whilst having her bp checked "nice girls have c-sections"
I'm dreading talking to my gynae about wanting a natural birth! hehehe.

Wow That's a bit drastic.... 3 weeks early so that its born on your b'day !!! Isn't that premature?

Seems that different cultures go from one extreme to the other I dread to think what sort of reaction someone would get on here for wanting a cesarean for that reason.. it was bad enough when I first mentioned having mine

Congrats on being halfway there

Can I just ask you a question please. Did your pelvis split because of SPD sorry if I sound like a dimwit but I have pretty bad SPD (I got crutches yesterday at physio) & it feels when I am walking that something is going to break. I asked about the birth & was told that SPD does not stop you from having a natural birth (I dont mean you here as you ob have previous problems but I have not). I really cant imagine giving birth with the pain of SPD am I being fobbed of!! Any advice would be much appreciated from you as a fellow sufferer in your previous pregnancy!!

Sorry to ramble
