My DH is sweet.

If he sees me carrying shopping bags he comes and grabs them off me. I told him the other day I could manage. I'm pregnant not cripple. LOL the bag was filled with two loaves of bread But he still worried.

He doesn't like seeing me do things that are strenuous. He's often told me to go sit while he does the work (not house work... I'm not that lucky.. talking about painting the nursery etc)

He doesn't overdo it though. He seems to be in tune to what I want and need. It's just the mood swings that can leave him looking a bit desperate at times.

I suppose the protection from his side comes from the fact that we've already suffered a miscarriage and an ex of his (many many many years back) had an abortion without telling him.

Here's another thing he did. My bday was yesterday and he took the kids out shopping. I've already asked him for my 3D scans so I wasn't expecting anything from him but that the kids were going to pick me out something from them.

They come home and I was shocked. Clothes and not just a few.....all maternity! Yay! Believe me too, he has good taste!

Because of that I told him that we don't have to go for dinner and that we will wait to go out for dinner on our 10th anniversary.

I had a good day.

Seriously, he is getting more and more thoughtful through the years too. I remember bdays where he absolutely forgot.
