Hey hunny...Im not sure. I didnt want to read and run. My bp is usually low and they havent really said anything about it so i quess its ok. Sorry if i wasnt much help. Maybe ask your mw about your bp. I know they are usually more worried about the lower number/bottem number.

I think high is worse because its associated with pre-eclampsia.

I think high BP is indicative of greater complications. Idealistically our BP's should be in the middle, but I think that high BP can cause some very serious problems for both mom and baby. It seems a lot of people have low BP in pregnancy, I think it can be a problem but not as worrying....

In the beginning, my blood pressure was always really high. They had me coming in every week to check it. And I would be there for hours, just laying on the table with the lights out, which they said should make my blood pressure go down. Thank goodness it is normal now. But I would think high blood pressure would be more of a cause to worry, since like someone else said, it is associated with pre-eclampsia.

Depends on how low when I first got pregnant I went to the hospital with severe abdominal pains and they said my blood pressure was dangerously low and I was also severely dehydrated . Ended up I had a ruptured Ovarian Cyst.

High blood pressure is usually a bigger cause for concern and doctors are usually more interested in that, especially during pregnancy. I wouldn't say a bit higher than normal is much of a concern for doctors as I am sure everyone fluctuates depending on stress levels and such!
