17 weeks and baby feels heavy?

Hi

I'm 17 weeks gone, and today I woke up and the baby feels 'heavy' down below, as though it's pushing downwards. I'm not showing yet (but I am overweight), and myself and my husband's family are quite small - ie not big babies. So I'm wondering why the baby feels 'heavy' at only 17 weeks and is this normal? It's like a dull, heavy ache, no sharp pains or anything.

Lauz - yeah - it's like a heavy pressure, as though I could fart really hard! I wouldn't really know what to push out of the way, as I'm not showing or feel the baby kicking. It's uncomfortable but not painful.

I get this hun, is it like pressure quite low down and its uncomfortable but not painful, I give baby a shove and he or she moves out of the way poor thing lol. Its probably the pressure of the uterus aswell as the baby xxx

You'll be just fine. Everything is stretching. Nerves are getting aggrivated that have never even been touched before. Also, you have about 250g of baby there now + fluid + placenta.

I get a heavy feeling sometimes - especially when I go from sitting to standing - think it's normal
