Is this round ligament pain?

Since yesterday, when I sneeze or cough or even sometimes when I laugh, I get a really sharp, shooting pain low down but kind of next to my hipbone. I have heard of this happening when you sneeze, cough or make sudden movements in pregnancy but was just wondering is this what is meant by round ligament pain? Hope I'm making sense!

I sometimes get the same thing. Hurts when I move a certain way too, I've always put it down to round ligament pain.

yes it certainly sounds like it. The pains either stitch like acute or just achey like a mild period pain or a extreme work out. Its all the muscles and ligaments limbering up to take the weight and girth of the expanding womb and baby with all that fluid inside.
You'll find that your bladder and other organs will also get pushed around and feel a little sore as the baby kicks away happily!

I'm 18 weeks and get exactly the same thing you describe. When I know i'm gonna sneeze or cough I told onto my tummy! Well, it seems to help

It sure is painful isn't it?! Makes me yell out lol, I get some daft looks when I sneeze and yell afterwards.. I must look crazy!

i would say its def round ligament! it really hurts me, i get it when i sneeze and for a split second its agony lol x
