15 week check up

I had my 15 week check up with MW today and eveything was fine - phew!!

I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time which was amazing Apparently it's about 140bpm, which she said was fine!!

Anyone know any old wives tales about sex of baby and heartbeat speed? I can't wait to find out for definate at my next scan!!

xx

Glad it all went well!!

I'm not sure of the wives tale about HB and gender. I read a few articles about it and they all say there's no evidence to support it so I havent really remembered which way around it is!!

I know what you mean about the old wives tales - I certainly wouldn't rely on them as fact I just think they're interesting 'cos you can compare the outcome at the 20 week scan...

So far I have no gut feelings either way but I'm excited to find out!!

It was amazing - even better in some ways as for some reason I wasn't expecting to hear it (it's been that long since I read all the literature the MW gave me!!) I couldn't believe how fast it sounds in comparison to my own
