Red face

My last day here!

Crikey, the time is just flying by... it's scary!!

Even scarier, is the fact that I only have 5 weeks of work left! I am going on mat leave earlier than I'd originally hoped as I'm having real problems with this SPD malarkey! So starting mat leave 6 weeks before EDD, with 2 weeks annual leave before! My last day at work will be 23rd May!!! Eeeeeek!!

I've got to say, besides the SPD, the second trimester has been a lot better than the first... once the morning sickness passed at about 16-17 weeks!

So thanks for having me here ladies, and I shall be seeing you all soon over in the 3rd Tri!

Happy pregnancies to all!

Tabs xx

Hiya hun, I thought I read on another thread that you had SPD too. It's pants isn't it!

Have you had a referral to physio yet? I went to my appointment about 10 days ago and the woman was lovely and said that the condition seems to be getting more common!

The pain I get is so bad it really affects my walking, so she gave me a pair of crutches which she told me I have to use even to just get across the living room!! They can be a pain in the arse, but they really do help. She also gave me some exercises to try and do, but tbh I'm still finding them a bit difficult still! She did say it might get easier the more I do them.

I have to go back to see her in 2 weeks for a follow-up and she said if there's no improvement then she is going to get me some sort of support belt to wear aswell.

So far, I haven't really found anything that helps with the pain, except for lying in a warm bath... but that in itself is a trial just trying to get in the bath!!! TBH, I am in pain pretty much 24/7, and sleep most nights is non-existant!

Sorry to paint such a shitty picture, but my own experience so far has been just that!

How are you getting on with it though?

yea im havin a crappy time too....

my front bum for want of a better word feels like i have bricks pulling downwards 24/7...my hips/pelvis are soo painful and no matter what i do i cant get comfy...the doc has referred me for physio *last fri* and mentioned a belt would help, she told me to keep my knees together when i move, as in getting up from sitting down, getting in and out of the car and moving about in bed....i have also tried walking like this (knees together) much to the amusement of everyone watching lol its proper pants isnt it hun!!!

they did say that as the pelvis is flexible that it should help during labour though lol

because of this my high bp and my hip displacement i have been signed off so im on hol from may 17th and go on maternity june 13th i think...to say im bored is an understatement and now my oh is getting whiney as im keeping him awake all night trying to move and get comfortable...i did over to swap places with him though!!
