Mine was like a very heavy period for the first maybe 24 hours then it went down to a normal period. Afterabout 3 or 4 days it was light and carried on like that for a couple of weeks

This might be a silly question, but do you get this bleeding if you have a c-section too?

12 hours after giving birth I climbed out of my hospital bed for the first time( had an epidural so I was bed bound) the blood poured out of me.. All down my leg.. Was vile.. I was changing my pad by the hour.. And these ain't your average pads they are like breeze blocks inbetween your legs. I noticted after around two days it calmed... Just like a heavy period for the next week or so, I changed to always night sanitary towels. After that I had around 3 weeks of your average period. Then a scanky period... Two days later it got heavier.. So I counted that as my period had arrived.. I was right it lasted 5 days then exactly a month later it returned. So all in all I was bleeding for around 5 weeks- it varies though & I don't think you have anything to worry about xx

My bleeding was quite bad for about a week then it slowed down i bought some of those DryNites bed mats so if i leaked in the night i didn't wreck the bed they were great as the first 2 or 3 night i did leak even with 2 pads on.
