waiting is driving me mad!!!!!!!!

Have finally been registered at the hospital 1 week ago, oh am not almost 17 weeks pregnant.

recieved a wonderous letter this week to inform me that i am no longer part of my doctors as i am out of thier area, so must find a new one, but they are all full!!!! arhhhh.

This now means i have no doctor, no midwife and dont really know when i should see people about my pregnancy progression etc. have only seen the hospital once and had one early scan 11 weeks.

waiting for a second scan but have not heard anything and am a little worried that i am not being kept an eye on and this is my first so i dont know if i should be seeing anyone or what should be happening.....

Am i panicing about nothing????/

thanks for that idea but i spoke to them about not being given a midwife when i did have a doctor and they said dont worry your young and healthy so you should have a easy pregnancy

any major problems happen just go to A and E, but what do i know!!!! when is there a major problem and when is there not????

what about all the checks - do you have to see someone regularly?????

that really doesnt sound right....

you are meant to have scans at 12 and 20 weeks approx and also have checks at certain stages, blood tests, urine tests etc....i would ring a doctor surgery explain your probelm and ask to speak to the practise manager who could perhaps point you in the right direction to either getting a new doctor or how to see a midwife to get your checks done, failing that ring your local mps office i would demand care!!!

how will you know your due date etc?!?!?

Sorry, I don't have any ideas. Can they refer you to someone?

wow! That is discusting. I would certainly be vocal about your situation. We see midwives so that checks can be done for problems. Just because you are young and healthy, doesnt mean your LO will be! I would def follow the advice above and don't give in to them!

Perhaps ask the hospital how to get in touch with the community midwife's team?? They might be able to register you direct with them in the meantime??
