Ugh not fair I was told by pharmacist not to take it and all I could take was paracetamol and do box inhalation. If I knew sudofed was safe could have really used it!

You know what I used for being stuffed up...just a dab of Vicks vapor rub under the nose! It really works. Not sure about bad sinus congestion though.

My doctor told me that sudafed and Robitussin are the best things to use when you're pregnant and have a cold

I havent needed it being pregnant but i used to put vicks vabor rub on my chest and a little on my nose and go sit in the bath tub with the shower running hot water (i guess just sitting in the bathroom would work with the door closed too but i always like the hot water for the body ache that came with being sick)....maybe that might help so you arent taking anything? but by all means i agree if there is something safe you can take and make you feel better, take it! lol

i've always been told by doc/pharmacist it's a no-no - maybe it's a UK guideline?

I was suffering really bad last week and was told absolutely not to take sudafed or any decongestant by my doctor as it could be harmful to baby. The only thing I was allowed was paracetemol - soluble was best for my sore throat x

The UK guidelines for pregnancy are VERY different from the North American ones. We have a list of meds that are safe in pregnancy over and beyond paracetamol (which includes sudafed, dextromethorphan and a bunch of others), which is all you ladies seem to be "allowed" to take. I really don't understand the discrepancy, but can reassure those ladies in North America that our doctors and pharmacists are definitely NOT as strict so definitely check with them!

I agree that Vicks is a great option.

I agree being a Scot in the USA they are alot more lenient over here with drugs during pregnancy, I was told Sudafed is not good up to 13 weeks of pregnancy but after that is fine.

well, I've been told during every pregnancy sudafed PE is fine, but to stay away from Benedryl so your best bet is to call your doctor but every time I've ever been pregnant (11 times now) I've always been told sudafed and I get such bad sinus problems during pregnancy.
